Themost importantcomponentof a solarshower is thesolarcollector.Thiscaptures theenergyradiatedby the sun.The intensity ofsolarenergythat reaches asurfaceof one square meter under a cloudlesssky is about 800watts.The sizeof a solarcollector therefore co-determines how muchsolarenergy the collector is abel to capture.Besides, the capturedsolarenergy must be converted effectively into heat. For this reason a reflector has been incorporatedInthesolarcollectorof theSolar-Fizz.This reflectorisa great thing.
It brings two advantages. Advantage 1: The solar absorber will also receive solar radiation from the shaded side. Advantage 2: The reflector focuses the solar radiation, the water temperature in the solar collector increases notably. An elevated water temperature has a positive effect on the quality of stored water in the collector (legionella). The Solar-Fizz reaches a water temperature of maximum +70°C.
Solar collectors are exposed to high mechanical stress (thermal expansion). This fact cannot be neglected especially in a solar shower (a leak of the collector would be the result).
The solar absorber is therefore absolutely mechanically stable embedded in the collector case of the Solar-Fizz.
Three heavily-sized security efforts fix the collector and thus provide the necessary stability. (Test pressure: 7 bar at 20 ° C)
The Solar-Fizz can be operated directly from the mains water supply. (min. 2 bar), additional costs for a pressure regulator are not required. In addition, the solar collector of the Solar-Fizz is thermal insulated. This is a great thing, because the heat of the water can be stored for several hours.
Having a hot shower in your own garden after sunset is a special treat that will amaze you.
